Introduction
Welcome to Mr. Davidson's webquest for Homer's Odyssey.
An "odyssey" can be defined as a a long wandering or voyage usually marked by many changes of fortune or an intellectual or spiritual wandering or quest. Today, you are going to experience an intellectual quest. The purpose of YOUR quest is to gather information on your own journey of discovery. May Zeus be with you and the wind be always in your sails!!
The Odyssey is a classic adventure story. It combines realistic elements of historical events with wildly imagined scenes of fantastic places and creatures. Follow along as Odysseus, a great leader of courage, daring, and wit, pursues his goal--to return home after many years at war--in the face of many setbacks.
We could take hours of notes in class, but this might just be a more interesting way to be introduced to Homer’s Odyssey.
